Medical Residency Event: Custom Laser Cut Stethoscope Name Tags

2-Hour Session to make custom laser cut stethoscope name tags. Our session for MGH residents will include a tour of Boston Makers, the basics of what laser cutting is, and an overview of how the process works. Then we will laser cut and personalize one-of-a-kind name tags for our stethoscopes!

Laser cutting is a technology that harnesses the energy of light by focusing a beam so tightly that it is able to engrave and even cut materials. At Boston Makers, we have a Trotec Speedy 100 Laser Cutter, which we use to cut a variety of media: paper, cardboard, MDF, plywood, leather, and acrylic!
